LDA seals 134 illegal commercial properties

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th May, 2026) The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) continued its crackdown on illegal commercial buildings and defaulters of commercialisation fees, sealing 134 properties in various schemes and LDA-controlled areas during a large-scale operation.

According to LDA spokesperson, enforcement teams carried out operations in Gulberg, Model Town, Gulshan Ravi, Gujjarpura, New Muslim Town, Azam Garden and Mustafa Town. During the operation, 46 properties were sealed in Gulberg and Model Town over illegal commercial use.

Meanwhile, 63 properties in Gulshan Ravi, Gujjarpura and New Muslim Town were sealed for illegal commercial activities and non-payment of commercialisation fees.

In a separate recovery operation, teams sealed 46 properties in Azam Garden and Mustafa Town.

The sealed properties included private schools, colleges, academies, bakeries, pharmacies, beauty salons, clinics, grocery stores, auto workshops, electric stores, restaurants, food points, shops and offices.

The operation was supervised by Chief Town Planner One Asad uz Zaman. LDA authorities stated that indiscriminate action against illegal commercial buildings and fee defaulters would continue across the city.
