LDA seals 91 properties in crackdown on illegal commercial use

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 29th Apr, 2026) The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Wednesday sealed another 91 properties during a crackdown on illegal commercial use.

On the directions of Director General(DG),Tahir Farooq,the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Town Planning Wing intensified its operations against illegal commercial buildings across LDA-controlled areas.

During the latest crackdown,LDA teams sealed a total of 91 properties in different localities including Gulberg,Ferozepur Road (Peco Road),Gujjarpura,Gulshan Ravi,Samanabad and Mustafa Town.

As many as 28 properties were sealed in Gulberg and along Peco Road for illegal commercial use while 14 properties were sealed in a private housing scheme on Bypass Road in Johar Town.

In Gujjarpura,Gulshan Ravi and Samanabad,32 properties were sealed due to illegal commercial activities and non-payment of commercialization fees.

Meanwhile,during a recovery operation in Mustafa Town, another 17 properties were sealed.

The sealed properties include private schools,bakeries,pharmacies,clinics,grocery stores,beauty salons,workshops, restaurants,food points,shops and offices.

The operation was carried out under the supervision of Chief Town Planner-I Asad uz Zaman and Chief Town Planner-II Azhar Ali.
