Federal Minister and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon met Punjab Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan at the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday to discuss the evolving situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK)
LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Federal Minister and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon met Punjab Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan at the Punjab Assembly on Wednesday to discuss the evolving situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
During the meeting, the two leaders expressed concern over ongoing human rights violations in IIOJK and reviewed strategies to keep the issue highlighted at the international level. They also discussed measures to make Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach more effective.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan stressed the need for coordinated policy actions to counter what he termed India’s unilateral and illegal measures in the disputed region.
Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic and moral support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, as enshrined in the United Nations Charter and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
Both leaders also agreed on the need to further highlight the Kashmir cause at the national level and continue joint efforts in this regard.
