LHC grants bail to PTI activist in fake video case

The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday granted post-arrest bail to PTI activist Falak Javed in a case related to the alleged circulation of a fake video of Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari on social media

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday granted post-arrest bail to PTI activist Falak Javed in a case related to the alleged circulation of a fake video of Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari on social media.

Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry heard the bail petition and directed the accused to furnish surety bonds worth Rs1 million to secure release.

The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency against Falak Javed and other suspects over allegations of uploading and disseminating a fake video online.

During the proceedings, the court also granted bail to co-accused Muhammad Shafique in the same case.
