LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) In a major step towards modernising the justice system and enhancing transparency, the Lahore High Court (LHC) has launched the Punjab Judicial Infrastructure Management System (JIMS), a first-of-its-kind digital platform in Pakistan's judiciary.

The initiative has been launched under the directions of LHC Chief Justice Aalia Neelum, to ensure digital oversight, effective planning and transparent allocation of resources for judicial infrastructure across Punjab.

The system will provide comprehensive information regarding judicial complexes and facilities available to judicial officers, lawyers and litigants across all tehsils of the province, enabling access to data through a centralized digital platform.

Addressing the launch ceremony, Chief Justice Aalia Neelum said the introduction of JIMS marked a significant milestone in making the justice delivery system faster, more transparent and in line with modern technological standards. She said the use of advanced technology and data-driven decision-making would bring transformative improvements to judicial administration at the tehsil level.

The chief justice noted that the platform would facilitate effective planning and monitoring of judicial infrastructure while ensuring efficient and transparent utilization of resources.

He said the system’s advanced dashboard would enable real-time monitoring and assessment of judicial facilities, development projects and the condition of court buildings. The platform, he added, is expected to enhance transparency, improve institutional efficiency and strengthen service delivery by supporting timely, evidence-based decision-making and reducing resource wastage.

He said that JIMS will play a key role in the prioritised development and improvement of judicial infrastructure throughout Punjab.
