MIRPURKHAS, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2026) Deputy Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Liaquat Baloch, has said that unity remains the only viable solution to the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah, therefore urging a collective struggle grounded in the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. He expressed these views on Wednesday while addressing a well-attended Eid Milan gathering organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Mirpurkhas, where people from diverse walks of life participated.
He remarked that Iran has remained steadfast on its ideological path and resisted external pressure, while continuing to support the Palestinian cause. Criticizing global powers, he alleged that recent developments involving Iran were influenced by Israel, moreover claiming that the United States has lost credibility in the Muslim world. He added that attempts to destabilize Iran had failed, demonstrating its resilience.
Furthermore, Baloch stressed that the Muslim world must unite to support oppressed communities in Palestine, Kashmir, and Gaza, however cautioning against reliance on external powers.
He highlighted the importance of strong relations among Pakistan, Iran, and Afghanistan for regional stability, advocating continued diplomatic engagement despite challenges.
Turning to domestic issues, he said Pakistan is facing a serious political crisis marked by weakening democratic institutions, while emphasizing the need for transparent elections, constitutional supremacy, and judicial independence. He expressed concern over the situation in Sindh, particularly Mirpurkhas Division, citing worsening civic conditions and corruption. Meanwhile, Provincial General Secretary Muhammad Yousuf noted shifting political trends, predicting that Jamaat-e-Islami would emerge as a strong force in the province, with other leaders also reaffirming their commitment to unity, public service, and addressing people’s issues.
