=Relevant authorities allege Anmol alias Pinky was operating an organised drug supply network across city

KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-May 13rd, 2026) The police investigations into alleged drug trafficker Anmol alias “Pinky” have expanded after a local court granted a three-day physical remand of the suspect in a case registered by Karachi South Police.

The accused was arrested during a raid in Karachi’s Garden area, where police claimed to have recovered cocaine, weapons and other narcotics worth approximately Rs1.5 million from her possession.

The local authorities alleged that she was operating an organised drug supply network across the city.

According to investigators, around 1,540 grams of cocaine and 6,970 grams of chemicals and raw materials allegedly used in narcotics preparation were seized during the operation. Police said several cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act had already been registered against the suspect between 2021 and 2024.

Initially, the court had rejected the police request for physical custody and sent the accused to judicial remand until May 25. However, investigators later submitted a fresh application, arguing that custody was required to trace the source of the cocaine supply, investigate the financial network linked to the operation and verify the suspect’s criminal background. The court subsequently approved a three-day physical remand.

Investigators also claimed to have recovered several audio recordings from the suspect’s mobile phone. In one alleged voice message, the accused is reportedly heard warning her associates about the possibility of arrest and indicating that another individual would continue managing the operation if anything happened to her.

According to police officials, the recording suggested that a male associate would continue the alleged network using the same contact number in the event of her arrest or death.

In a separate development, SSP South was removed from the inquiry related to the suspect’s court appearance, and DIG West Irfan Baloch was assigned to lead the investigation, according to an official notification.

The inquiry will examine all developments linked to the court proceedings, including alleged violations of standard operating procedures during the suspect’s appearance before the court. Authorities have directed the inquiry officer to submit a report within three days, while senior police officials warned that strict action would be taken against anyone found guilty of negligence or misconduct.

Meanwhile, Lahore Police revealed that the suspect had previously been residing in Lahore before allegedly going into hiding. Officials said her brother, Riaz Baloch, was arrested in a narcotics-related case registered at Kot Lakhpat Police Station.

According to Lahore Police, the suspect’s name surfaced during investigations into an alleged drug trafficking attempt in Shadab Colony involving a luxury vehicle.

During interrogation, her brother reportedly identified the woman who escaped from the scene as Pinky.

The police said she had been living in a private housing area in Kot Lakhpat with her brothers before disappearing.

However, Punjab Police stated that no criminal record of the suspect exists in the province’s official database.
