Low-level flood reported at Head Marala

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2026) A low-level flood was reported at Head Marala on the River Chenab, while water flow at other rivers and barrages remained within normal limits.

According to official sources here on Tuesday, Head Marala recorded an inflow of 131,123 cusecs and an outflow of 108,850 cusecs, where a low-level flood was continuing.

At Head Khanki, the inflow was 61,409 cusecs and the outflow was 53,697 cusecs. At Head Qadirabad, the inflow was 85,910 cusecs and the outflow was 66,385 cusecs. The situation at both barrages remained normal.

On the River Jhelum, the water level at Mangla Dam was recorded at 1,177.55 feet. The dam received an inflow of 71,000 cusecs and discharged 10,000 cusecs of water. The situation remained normal.

The flow in Munawar Tawi was recorded at 8,538 cusecs, while no water flow was recorded in Bhimber Nullah.

Meanwhile, 47.18 millimetres of rainfall was recorded in the district.

The district administration directed the relevant departments to remain alert and continue monitoring rivers and seasonal streams.
