LWMC conducts citywide cleanliness drive

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) is implementing Punjab CM's 'Suthra Punjab' vision to restore the city’s beauty and ensure a clean and healthy environment.

According to LWMC sources here on Monday the company's operational teams remain active in the field round the clock. Cleanliness operations are underway in key areas including Mall Road, Regal Chowk, Hall Road and Anarkali, while sanitation teams have also been deployed in Samanabad, Gulshan-e-Ravi and Sabzazar. Cleaning staff are present at Yateem Khana Chowk, City Bus Terminal, Niazi Adda and along Band Road to maintain cleanliness standards.

LWMC is ensuring the daily clearance of more than 7,000 waste containers across the city. Alongside manual sweeping in commercial markets and public places, washing of trees along major arteries is also being carried out.

Furthermore, mechanical sweeping is being conducted on over 950 km of roads daily, while mechanical washing is underway on more than 150 km.

Special cleanliness measures are being ensured across all streets, neighbourhoods, intersections, road dividers and major roads.

All available resources are being utilised to provide citizens with a clean, safe and healthy environment.
