FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) As per the vision of CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the divisional administration is active in keeping citizens and youth informed about history and culture.
In this regard, a meeting of the Lyallpur Museum was held under the chair of the Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen here on Thursday. Museum Curator Maqbool Malik gave a briefing on the establishment of the museum, types of historical artifacts and administrative matters.
The Commissioner decided to establish a state-of-the-art and spacious museum in the city due to the lack of more space available in the existing museum and directed Deputy Commissioner Cap (Retd) Nadeem Nasir to identify the land.
She said that after identifying the land, a PC-1 will be prepared immediately and sent to the Punjab government.
The curator Makbool Malik said that about 2300 historical artifacts are displayed in 10 different galleries in the Lyallpur Museum.
