Main Zuljanah procession concludes at Karbala Gamay Shah

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jun, 2026) The main Zuljanah procession in the city, which commenced from Nisar Haveli on Thursday,

concluded peacefully at Karbala Gamay Shah on Friday evening.

The procession concluded at around 8:00 pm after passing through its traditional route,

including Mohalla Chehl Bibian, Imambargah Syed Wajid Ali Shah, Mubarik Haveli, Chowk Nawab

Sahib, Koocha Qazi Khana, Imambargah Maulvi Feroze Ali, Koocha Miskeenan, Mohalla Pir Gillanian,

Imambargah Syed Rajjab Ali Shah, Chauhatta Mufti Baqir, Chowk Kotwali, Kashmiri Bazaar, Sunehri Mosque, Dabbi Bazaar, Gumti Bazaar, Syed Mittha Bazaar, Tehsil Bazaar, Bazaar Hakimaan, Uchi Mosque, and Bhaati Chowk.

Following the culmination of the procession at Karbala Gamay Shah, mourners observed Shaam-e-Ghariban. Addressing the gathering, a Zakir highlighted the significance of the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam

Hussain (RA) and paid tribute to his unparalleled sacrifice for islam.

Foolproof security arrangements were put in place along the entire procession route to ensure the

safety of mourners and prevent any untoward incident.

Emergency response teams, including Rescue 1122 personnel, remained on high alert, while comprehensive medical facilities were also made available for participants throughout the procession.
