ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) Police in Hassanabdal have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy in a village within the jurisdiction of Hassanabdal Police Station, officials said on Tuesday.

According to police, the victim’s father reported that his son had been playing outside their home in village Tass when a local resident, identified as Manzoor Elahi, allegedly took the child to his house and assaulted him.

Police said the boy informed his family about the incident after returning home. The child's father subsequently approached the police, who initiated legal proceedings and arranged a medical examination of the victim.

Following the registration of a case and completion of preliminary investigations, the suspect was taken into custody. Police said further investigation into the matter is underway.
