Man booked for Rape on Pretext of Marriage in Wah Cantt

WAH CANTT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Mar, 2026) In a serious incident, police on Monday formally registered a case against a suspect for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman on the pretext of marriage within the jurisdiction of Wah Saddar Police Station. According to official sources, the accused had developed acquaintance with the complainant through online trading before deceptively luring her with false promises.

The FIR states that the suspect allegedly administered intoxicants to the victim and subsequently committed the offence. Moreover, the complainant accused the suspect’s father of forcibly snatching her mobile phone and cash, adding another disturbing dimension to the case.

Police officials confirmed that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code, including 376 and 378-B. Furthermore, special teams have been constituted and are actively conducting raids to apprehend the accused involved in the heinous crime.

Authorities reiterated that such criminal acts will be dealt with strictly, while assuring that all efforts are being made to ensure justice for the victim. Meanwhile, further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
