Man gunned down by unidentified assailants in Kohat

KOHAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) A man was shot dead by unidentified armed assailants in the limits of Lachi police station on Tuesday, police sources said.

According to initial reports, the incident took place in the Chashma Ghunda area of Tehsil Lachi, where unknown attackers opened fire on a man identified as Imran, killing him on the spot before fleeing the scene.

Soon after the incident, local police reached the area and shifted the body to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities and post-mortem examination. Security in the surrounding area was also tightened following the attack.

Police said a case has been registered against unidentified suspects, while investigations are underway to ascertain the motive behind the killing and arrest those involved in the incident.
