Man held for harassing 8-year-old girl

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th Apr, 2026) The Saddar Barooni Police have apprehended a man for allegedly harassing an eight-year-old girl, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on Wednesday.

According to the first information report, the accused allegedly subjected the child to indecent and inappropriate actions when she had come to his grocery store to purchase items.

The police registered a case and took the suspect into custody, the spokesman said, adding that the accused would be challaned in court with solid evidence to ensure conviction and due punishment.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Anam Sher said harassment or abuse of women and children was intolerable and would be dealt with strictly under the law.
