Man held over attempted assault of "child with disabilities"

The Naseerabad Police on Monday arrested a man accused of attempting to sexually assault a 10-year-old child with hearing and speech impairment

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Apr, 2026) The Naseerabad Police on Monday arrested a man accused of attempting to sexually assault a 10-year-old child with hearing and speech impairment.

According to a police spokesman, the suspect allegedly lured the child to a vacant plot and attempted the assault.

A case was registered following a complaint by the victim’s family, after which the accused was apprehended.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Potohar, Sardar Babar Mumtaz Khan, said harassment or abuse of women and children was “unacceptable” and that strict action would be taken against those involved in such crimes.
