Man injured on roadside

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th May, 2026) Unknown armed men opened indiscriminate fire at a man on roadside in Ahmadpur East, leaving him injured.

According to the Rescue 1122, a man was staying at a location on roadside when two unidentified persons

approached him and demanded money, adding that upon his refusal, the unidentified suspects shot him in the abdomen and fled from the scene.

Soon after receiving information at control room, the rescue staff reached the scene and provided first aid to the injured and shifted him to Bahawal Victoria Hospital. The condition of the injured was told to be critical. The victim was identified as 40-years-old, Akhtar of Kotla Naicha, Tehsil Ahmedpur East.
