Man killed, another injured as motorcycle collides with Millat Express in Lalian

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) A man was killed and another sustained minor injuries when a motorcycle collided with the Millat Express train while crossing a railway track near Chak Bahadar Road in Lalian on Sunday, Rescue 1122 officials said.

According to Rescue 1122, emergency teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information about the accident and launched rescue operations. Officials said the Millat Express was traveling from Sargodha to Chiniot when it struck a motorcycle attempting to cross the railway track.

As a result of the collision, 55-year-old Zulfiqar, son of Latif and a resident of Khan Ka Dorgan, died on the spot.

Another rider, 65-year-old Nazeer, son of Fateh Din and a resident of Sillanwali, suffered minor injuries and was provided first aid by rescue personnel at the scene.

After completing the necessary legal formalities, Rescue 1122 handed over the body of the deceased to the police. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident and urged the public to exercise extreme caution while crossing railway tracks to avoid such accidents.
