Man killed as truck hits trailer

GUJRAT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jul, 2026) A 32-year-old man was killed when a truck rammed into a 22-wheeler trailer near Al-Ghani Petroleum on the Grand Trunk (GT) Road here on Thursday.

According to Rescue-1122 sources, the accident occurred when the Shehzore truck, traveling from Lahore to Islamabad, crashed into the rear of the trailer after its driver reportedly fell asleep at the wheel.

As a result, a passenger identified as Qadeer Ahmed, son of Muhammad Riaz and resident of Kot Shams, Chakwal, got trapped inside the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries and died on the spot.

Receiving the information, Rescue-1122 personnel reached the spot, retrieved the body from the wreckage and shifted it to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital, Kharian, for legal formalities.
