Man pulled alive after 16 days of Rustam landslide incident

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) In a remarkable and miraculous event, a resident of Mohmand district has been rescued alive after remaining trapped for 16 days under debris caused by a landslide in Rustam, a tehsil of Mardan district on Thursday.

As per rescue workers, the landslide occurred in Nung Abad area of Rustam, where the victim, identified as Khyber was buried under rubble.

Despite the passage of over two weeks hopes for his survival remained slim. However, in what many are calling a miracle, teams from Rescue 1122 carried out tireless and effective operation, successfully pulling Khyber out alive from the debris.

Officials stated that the rescue operation was conducted with great care and determination, leading to the safe recovery of the victim.

Following his rescue, a wave of joy and relief spread among his family members and the local community, who had been anxiously awaiting any news about his fate.

Authorities have praised the efforts of Rescue 1122, highlighting their professionalism and dedication in handling such a challenging operation.
