MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) Rescuers recovered the body of a man from the Lala Creek Canal on GPO Road on Wednesday, two days after he had reportedly drowned.
The deceased was identified as 55-year-old Zahoor Hussain. According to official sources, he went missing after falling into the canal, and the incident was reported to the police.

The body was later handed over to the heirs. The family declined to have a postmortem examination conducted. After completing the necessary legal formalities, the police closed the case.
Initial investigation suggested that Zahoor Hussain was walking along the canal bank when he accidentally slipped into the water and drowned.
