ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Barrister Danyal Chaudhry said on Friday that Operation Banyan al-Marsous and the victory in Marka-e-Haq established Pakistan as a formidable power on military, diplomatic and narrative fronts, while demonstrating the unity of the nation and the professional excellence of the armed forces.

Addressing the first commemorative ceremony of Marka-e-Haq 2025 at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Danyal Chaudhry said Pakistan had delivered a decisive response to Indian aggression and state sponsored propaganda.

He alleged that India, under the pretext of targeting militant hideouts, attacked innocent civilians, including women and children, in violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty.

“In response, Pakistan successfully targeted enemy military installations under Operation Banyan al-Marsous, sending a clear message that Pakistan is a responsible but unshakable defensive power,” he said.

The parliamentary secretary credited the success of the operation to the professionalism of the armed forces, the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir and the strategic vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Describing Marka-e-Haq as more than a military victory, he said it represented “the triumph of truth over lies and organised misinformation.”

“Pakistan chose truth, and that became the foundation of our success,” he said, adding that the country had emerged stronger as a dignified and influential state on the global stage.

Danyal Chaudhry also paid tribute to the Pakistani nation for rising above political and religious divisions and standing united alongside the armed forces during the conflict.

“The army, navy and air force, backed by the people, delivered a response that will echo for years,” he remarked.

He said the martyrs of the conflict would remain the nation’s enduring pride, while Ghazis symbolised courage and sacrifice for future generations.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace and national security, he said the country would continue to stand firmly for truth, stability and regional peace.

The ceremony was attended by Usman Shaukat, Muhammad Abdullah Hameed Gul, Sohail Altaf and other prominent figures.
