Martyred cop remembered

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Jun, 2026) The martyrdom anniversary of Multan police constable Muhammad Irfan was observed with due respect and solemnity here on Monday.

A smartly turned out police contingent presented a guard of honour at the grave of the fallen official, while police officers, officials and family members made Dua and paid tribute to his sacrifice.

They offered Fateha, laid floral wreaths and prayed for the elevation of his ranks in the hereafter.

According to police records, constable Muhammad Irfan embraced martyrdom on June 1, 2010, while performing patrol, crime-checking, and picket duty in the jurisdiction of Jalalpur Pirwala police station.

During the course of his duty, terrorists opened indiscriminate fire on him. Displaying exceptional courage, bravery, and dedication, he fought back fearlessly and laid down his life in the line of duty.

Police officials said, sacrifices rendered by police martyrs will never be forgotten and that those who lay down their lives for the safety and security of the public will always remain alive in the hearts of the nation.
