Massive pre-Eid cleanliness campaign launched across city

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Mar, 2026) A grand cleanliness drive is underway across the city ahead of Eid ul Fitr to ensure a hygienic and pleasant environment for residents.

According to officials, special sanitation operations have been intensified in all areas, with particular focus on mosques, Eidgahs, markets, and public places. Sanitation teams are actively engaged in sweeping, waste removal, and clearing garbage collection points to maintain cleanliness before the festive occasion.

The Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC) DI Khan has deployed additional staff and machinery to ensure that all Eidgahs are thoroughly cleaned prior to Eid prayers.

The initiative aims to provide citizens with a clean and safe environment during the celebrations.

Citizens have also been urged to cooperate with the sanitation staff by disposing of waste at designated points and supporting efforts to keep the city clean.

Chairman WSSC DI Khan, Naimat Ullah Khan Advocate, while seeking public feedback, emphasized that maintaining cleanliness is a shared responsibility and called on residents to play their role in making the city clean and beautiful.

The special cleanliness campaign is part of the government’s broader public service and sanitation agenda during the holy month of Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr.
