Matric student drowns in North Waziristan

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) A matriculation student drowned in a river while on his way to appear in an examination in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, Rescue officials said on Tuesday.

According to details, 16-year-old Shah Zeb was crossing the Tochi River when he was swept away by strong currents and drowned.

Rescue 1122 teams launched a search operation and recovered the body after three and a half hours of efforts.
