Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab visits Jahangir Road, reviews development works

Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab during a visit to Jahangir Road on Tuesday, inspected the ongoing development works and reviewed the progress of works on the second section of Jahangir Road and directed the concerned officers to maintain the quality and pace of the work

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Jun, 2026) Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab during a visit to Jahangir Road on Tuesday, inspected the ongoing development works and reviewed the progress of works on the second section of Jahangir Road and directed the concerned officers to maintain the quality and pace of the work.

He said that the work on the second section of Jahangir Road has almost been completed, while finishing work is currently underway.

He said that traffic is moving smoothly on the road and measures are being taken to provide better travel facilities to citizens.

He said that Jahangir Road is being reconstructed by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.

He informed that fiber manhole covers have been installed on the road to protect them from theft.

The Mayor said that unnecessary cables from Jahangir Road will be removed, while streetlights and the green belt will also be improved.

He said that development works are progressing rapidly in all districts of the city and every possible step is being taken to provide facilities to the citizens of Karachi.

During the visit, Mayor Karachi interacted with citizens and also took selfies with children. Citizens expressed satisfaction over the ongoing development works.
