Mayor reviews development projects in Hala Naka, Qasimabad

The Mayor of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) Kashif Ali Shoro inspected the under construction flyover in Hala Naka and a road connecting Alamdar chowk in Qasimabad with Qasim Chowk

HYDERABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) The Mayor of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (HMC) Kashif Ali Shoro inspected the under construction flyover in Hala Naka and a road connecting Alamdar chowk in Qasimabad with Qasim Chowk.

The Mayor's spokesman informed here on Thursday that Shoro directed the concerned officers to complete the 2 projects on time and to ensure that they did not let any compromise in construction quality occur.

According to him, the Mayor expressed the hope that after completion both the projects would significantly ease the flow of traffic on the roads in Hala Naka and Qasimabad towns.

He noted that the flyover, named Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Flyover had seen over a decade long delays due to litigation and encroachment.

However, Shoro said both the hindrances had been overcome and the project's construction had been resumed with a good pace of work. He also observed that the traffic moving towards Qasim Chowk from many parts of Qasimabad would use the new road, resulting in reduction of traffic volume from Wadhu Wah road.

Deputy Commissioner Zainul Abedin Memon and Municipal Commissioner Zahoor Ahmed Lakhan accompanied the Mayor.
