MDA regains possession of 207 Kanal area in Fatima Jinah town

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Jun, 2026) Multan Development Authority (MDA) regained possession of 207 Kanal area in H block of Fatima Jinah town in the city on Wednesday, a day after High Court Multan Bench vacated a stay order that had remained force for around seventeen years.

The possession was regained in an operation jointly carried out by MDA's directorates of enforcement, engineering and estate and land management, MDA spokesman said in a statement.

Director Admin and Finance/Estate and Land Management Farhan Mujtaba, director enforcement Muhammad Imran and other officials were present.

After successful reclamation of the land, MDA officials deployed Civil Defence officials on the site for security of the premises. It may be noted that civil defence officials are already providing security to the colony under an agreement with MDA.

Development work on the H block of Fatima Jinah town had remained suspended for years due to the status quo order issued earlier by a court on the petition of a citizen.

Allottees of the plots heaved a sigh of relief after the stay order was vacated by the court and it would ensure resumption of long delayed development work.
