Medicine supply issue reviewed in Paharpur hospitals

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Paharpur Dr. Hamid on Wednesday reviewed public complaints regarding shortage of medicines in THQ Hospital Paharpur and Panyala.

Hospital officials informed that medicines were being supplied as per orders, however, distribution of some items was delayed due to pending drug testing reports.

The AC contacted relevant authorities, who assured clearance of all pending reports within two days.

He directed hospital administrations to ensure uninterrupted provision of medicines, stating that healthcare is a basic right of the public.

He also warned of strict action against negligence, adding that no laxity would be tolerated.
