Meeting discusses establishment of township in Manshera

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Babar Salim Swati here Thursday discussed chaired a meeting to discuss progress and development on the project of establishing a township in District Manshera.

The meeting was also attended by provincial minister for local government, Meena Khan Afridi, Managing Director, Manshera Development Authority, Managing Director, UADA, MPAs including Nazir Ahmad Abbasi, Ikramullah and Zubair Khan besides concerned officials, said a release issued here.

The meeting discuss various aspects of the project and invited suggestions in the presence of all stakeholders.

The meeting concurred that suggestions and proposals would be compiled with proper explanation of every aspect so that it could be discussed in UADA board for taking practical steps.

It was decided that the concerned minster would convene a separate meeting of UADA to formally approve the project.

Speaking on the occasion, KP speaker said that the project would pave the way for a better lifestyle for area people and create opportunities of economic development.
