Meeting reviews progress on implantation of energy measures

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 7th Apr, 2026) A meeting was held to ensure strict implementation of temporary energy-saving measures across the district.

The meeting was chaired by deputy commissioner Abdul Nasir and

attended by all administrative officers, where detailed briefings were given on new regulations concerning business operating hours and energy usage.

The meeting discussed enforced closing times for bazaars, markets, shopping plazas, restaurants, marriage halls, and other commercial establishments.

Restrictions on unnecessary lighting and conditions for exempted sectors were also outlined.

He directed all officers to ensure zero tolerance for violations, emphasizing that strict action would be taken against non-compliance.

The official concerned have been instructed to immediately begin field inspections across the district to monitor adherence.

Residents and business owners have also been urged to cooperate with the administration and fully comply with the temporary measures, which came into effect on April 6, 2026.

It was informed that people have also been asked to play its role in conserving electricity in the national interest.
