Memorial gathering held in Chiniot to mark death anniversary of PPP leader’s mother

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) A memorial gathering was held in Chiniot to observe the death anniversary of the mother of Pakistan Peoples Party Central Punjab General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza.

The event was inaugurated by Allama Abdul Karim Jafri, while Allama Shahenshah Naqvi led the prayers at the ceremony held at Jagir Ali Karbala in Rajua Sadat.

The gathering was attended by hundreds of local residents and political and social figures.

Prominent participants included Syed Hassan Murtaza, Shahzad Saeed Cheema, Inayat Ali Shah, Haider Abbas, Tanveer Jatt, Tanveer Mohal, Wahab Shahzad, Ahsan Rizvi, Rao Babar Jamil, Hussain Tirmizi, Imran Khokhar Advocate, Bawa Fazal, Mehr Shams, Afzal Lail, Zeeshan Shami, Naseem Sabir, Mudassar Shakir, and Yasir Bukhari, among others.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, food was distributed among the participants.
