Metropolitan government plans to increase revenue

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Sanaullah Khan has said that available resources would be utilized to increase the revenue of the Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar.

He was chairing a meeting of the lease committee that was attended by Regional Municipal Officer Sajjad Haider, Director General Capital Metropolitan Qadeer Naseer, Director Administration & HR Owais Rahat, Director West Sahibzada Anees, Deputy Director State Management Kamran Amjad, Assistant Director Admin Khudai Nazar, Assistant Director Engineering Muhammad Riaz, Assistant Commissioner City Zeeshan Najeeb and other officials.

The DC said that shops and flats in Faqir Abad and Kohati Plaza that are property of metropolitan government would be rented out and leased on premium rates according to current market value, adding that necessary arrangements for this process have already been ordered to be completed.

He also reiterated that all possible measures would be taken to enhance the income and directed officials to complete all needed formalities.

The meeting was also given a detailed briefing regarding the properties of the metropolitan government, particularly the shops and flats located in Faqir Abad and Kohati Plaza.

The meeting also finalized the rental and premium rates that would be sent to the Local Government department for approval.
