Seismological Centre Pakistan says earthquake was recorded at a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-April 18th, 2026) The mild earthquake tremors were felt in Karachi and surrounding areas, triggering brief concern among residents.
The Seismological Centre Pakistan said that the earthquake was recorded at a magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale.
The seismic centre stated that the epicentre was located approximately 24 kilometres north-west of Malir, Karachi, while the depth of the quake was measured at 10 kilometres.
The authorities confirmed that no reports of casualties or property damage were received following the tremors.
