LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi will inaugurate the upgraded “Tourist Safari Train” on Sunday at Rawalpindi Railway Station.
According to PR sources here on Saturday, the air-conditioned train, being operated under the private sector, will run between Rawalpindi and Attock Khurd on Sundays. The round-trip fare has been fixed at Rs. 4,500, which includes breakfast during the journey, a magic show, music, and lunch at Attock Khurd Station.
Passengers will also be facilitated with various recreational activities including horse and camel riding, a visit to Attock Bridge, and boating in the Indus River.
The train will depart from Rawalpindi Railway Station with traditional police band tunes. Its first stop will be at Golra Railway Station, where tourists will be given a guided visit to the Golra Railway Museum, known for its collection of historical railway artifacts.
The train will then proceed with stops at different stations before reaching Attock Khurd Station, situated along the banks of the Indus River. At the destination, passengers will be served lunch and offered a visit to a small railway museum, along with opportunities to enjoy camel and horse riding and boating in the Indus River.
