Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Wednesday met Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan and expressed condolences on the death of his sister

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi on Wednesday met Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan and expressed condolences on the death of his sister.

During the meeting, the minister expressed deep sorrow and grief over the demise and extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family. He offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed that Allah Almighty grant her a high place in His mercy and bless the family with patience and strength to bear the loss. The deceased was the niece of Minister of State Malik Rasheed Ahmed Khan.

Later, during the Punjab Assembly session, Fateha was offered for the martyrs in Iran and for the departed soul of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Prayers were also offered for the innocent martyrs of Gaza and Palestine, while members of the House expressed solidarity with the oppressed people.

Fateha was offered for the departed sister of Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan and the late mother of Secretary General Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Aamir Habib. In addition, prayers were offered for the wife of MPA Mian Marghoob Ahmed, late MPA Ali Hussain Khan Baloch, and former senior parliamentarian Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa.

Members of the Assembly collectively prayed for the forgiveness of all the deceased, elevation of their ranks, and patience for the bereaved families.
