PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th May, 2026) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan, formally inaugurated community centres (hujras) at three different locations in Parshalai area of constituency PK-26 Buner.
These public welfare projects have been completed through the Provincial Minister’s development fund.
The Minister attended the inauguration ceremonies as chief guest and, along with local elders, formally opened the facilities by cutting the ribbon.
On the occasion, Ahmad Khan (brother of PTI Chairman and Member National Assembly Barrister Gohar Ali Khan) and district leaders including Bakhrad Khan, Waqar-ul-Mulk Khan, Qaisar Ali Advocate, Irshad Alam, and other PTI leaders were also present.
Addressing the gathering, Syed Fakhar Jehan said that community hujras are an integral part of local culture and social harmony, serving as important platforms for public consultation, dispute resolution, and community engagement.
He added that the provincial government is prioritizing public welfare initiatives that directly benefit the people and strengthen the social fabric at the grassroots level.
Local elders appreciated the performance of the Provincial Minister and stated that Syed Fakhar Jehan is the first elected representative in the area’s history who is committed to ensuring equal development across all villages of PK-26.They also expressed gratitude for these culturally significant public projects.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Minister, accompanied by local leadership, visited the villages of Amnawar, Nari Tangi and Ghohdara, where he met local elders, notables, and party workers, and listened to their issues.
He directed the concerned authorities to ensure prompt resolution of these problems.
