Minister Khichi inaugurates audio book series "Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam” by Allama Iqbal

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi inaugurated the audio book series of "The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam" by Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the director of Iqbal Academy Pakistan and other officials, on Monday.

The audio book has been produced in-house by the IT section of the academy utilising its internal resources. The initiative aims to disseminate Iqbal’s intellectual, philosophical and cultural thought more effectively through modern digital platforms and to make it accessible to students, researchers, scholars as well as the general public.

During the ceremony, it was emphasised that the ideas and philosophy of Allama Iqbal are not merely an academic legacy of the past but continue to hold significant relevance in contemporary intellectual and cultural discourse.

The audio book series was termed an important step towards connecting the younger generation with Iqbal’s thought and preserving and promoting national intellectual heritage in a modern format.

The Iqbal Academy Pakistan has been consistently working on academic, literary and digital projects to present Iqbal’s message in line with contemporary requirements. The audio book of "The Reconstruction of Religious Thought in islam," available on the academy’s YouTube channel, is part of this broader vision.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, it was reaffirmed that the academy would continue its efforts to promote Iqbal’s philosophy, preserve national cultural heritage, and disseminate intellectual content through modern means of communication.
