Minister reviews arrangements at NSIC ahead of inauguration

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jul, 2026) Punjab Minister for Health Khawaja Salman Rafique on Friday visited the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology (NSIC), Sargodha, and reviewed arrangements ahead of the hospital’s formal inauguration.

According to the official spokesperson here, during the visit, the minister inspected various departments and facilities, including operation theatres, intensive care units, catheterisation laboratories, emergency services, wards and diagnostic units.

He also reviewed the installation and functionality of modern medical equipment, cleanliness arrangements, facilities for patients, security measures and the preparedness of medical staff.

Khawaja Salman Rafique directed the relevant authorities to ensure that all arrangements were completed in a timely manner and that the hospital was fully prepared to provide quality cardiac healthcare services to patients upon its inauguration.

Deputy Commissioner Sargodha Hussain Ahmad Raza Chaudhry, District Police Officer Tauqeer Muhammad Naeem, NSIC Dean Major General Khurram Shehzad, Project Director Brigadier Muhammad Asif Cheema and other relevant officers were present.
