Minor boy dies of electric shock

BAHAWALPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st May, 2026) An eight-year-old boy died after receiving an electric shock from a water pump in Mouza Uch Gillani, Basti Beeh, near Ahmadpur East.

According to Rescue-1122 officials, the child came into contact with an electrified water pump and suffered a severe electric shock.

Upon receiving the emergency call, Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene and immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) while transporting the child to the Rural Health Centre (RHC) Uch. Despite continuous efforts by rescuers, the boy could not be revived. Doctors at the hospital later pronounced him dead.

The deceased was identified as Rizwan, son of Azam, a resident of Mouza Uch Gillani, Basti Beeh.

After completing the necessary formalities, the body was handed over to the family for burial.
