Minor girl dies, four injured in fire at nomads’ huts in Karor Lal Eisan

LAYYAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) A 11-year-old girl lost her life while four others sustained burns after a fire broke out in huts of nomadic families in Karor Lal Esan tahsil of district Layyah on Tuesday.

According to rescue officials, the incident occurred near Kandhi Bypass in Ward No. 13 of Karor Lal Esan where the fire suddenly engulfed several makeshift huts of the nomads.

Initial reports suggested that the fire erupted while food was being cooked in the huts and quickly spread due to winds blowing.

Rescue 1122 fire fighters rushed to the spot and managed to bring the fire under control after hectic efforts.

The body of the deceased girl and the injured persons were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment and legal proceedings. After completion of necessary procedures, the body of the deceased was handed over to her family.
