Minor student critically injured by stray dog bite

MUZAFFARGARH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Apr, 2026) A minor student was critically injured after being attacked by a stray dog, the rescuers said.

Nine-year-old Umar Bilal was on his way to a public school when a stray dog suddenly jumped at him

and bit multiple parts of his body.

Rescuers shifted the child to hospital for vaccination and treatment.

Locals staged a protest against the rising incidents of dog bites and rabies in the area. Residents Muhammad Ali, Imran, Aslam, Usman, Shahid and Muhammad Idris said they had repeatedly appealed to the Municipal Corporation authorities to address the issue, but no effective action has been taken so far.
