MIRPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Apr, 2026) In a comprehensive and well-coordinated move, the State Health Office on Wednesday gave final touches to a district-wide campaign aimed at combating life-threatening diseases, whereas the 4th quarter meeting of the Routine Immunization Communication Committee was held here on Wednesday. The session, chaired by District Health Officer Dr. Fida Hussain Raja, marked a significant step toward strengthening public health initiatives, furthermore bringing together key stakeholders.

During the meeting, Assistant Director EPI and Secretary Committee Sardar Waqas Ahmed Khan effectively delivered a multimedia briefing on routine immunization programs, meanwhile highlighting ongoing efforts to enhance vaccination coverage. Participants warmly appreciated the dedicated leadership of the District Health Officer and his team for organizing the session in a professional manner, reflecting the administration’s proactive approach.

Responding to queries, Dr. Fida Hussain Raja clearly outlined Mirpur’s immunization strategy, including the upcoming polio campaign and the inclusion of the HPV vaccine, moreover emphasizing that children are being vaccinated against 13 deadly diseases such as TB, polio, measles, and pneumonia. He urged that awareness campaigns be vigorously expanded through print, electronic, and social media platforms to counter misinformation and ensure maximum outreach.

He stressed that all segments of society must contribute positively, therefore ensuring that no child is deprived of essential vaccines. Educational institutions, social organizations, media, and elected representatives were called upon to play their role actively in promoting public health. The participants assured full cooperation, while the chair gratefully thanked attendees for their valuable input and reaffirmed the collective resolve to build a disease-free society.
