South Investigation Police successfully recovered three-year-old Vareesha, abducted from Karachi’s Sea View beach during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. The operation led to the arrest of a suspect, Abubakar, from Jackson Masaan Chowk. Authorities safely reunited the minor with her family following a case registered at Darakhshan Police Station on March 25.

Waseem, a resident of Nazimabad, lived every parent’s nightmare when his youngest daughter, Vareesha, vanished from the sands of Sea View. The family had gathered for the third day of Eid, a time for joy that quickly turned into a frantic search.

While Waseem and his wife briefly chased their older children toward the waves, Vareesha was playing in the sand. In those seconds, she was gone. The South Investigation Police took immediate action after the family registered a kidnapping case at the Darakhshan Police Station on March 25.

Social media became a powerful tool in this rescue. Her pictures and details circulate across platforms, creating a digital dragnet that the suspect could not escape. This public awareness directly aided the police operation.

The investigation led officers to Jackson Masaan Chowk, Keamari, where they took a man named Abubakar into custody. Most importantly, they found Vareesha safe. This recovery stands out during a holiday season where dozens of children were separated from their families in the massive Sea View crowds. While most were simple reunions at help desks, Vareesha’s case required a professional criminal investigation to ensure her safe return.
