LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Apr, 2026) The Child Protection & Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Punjab has successfully reunited a 10-year-old missing boy with his parents in Kashmore district of Sindh through coordinated efforts of its family tracing team.

CPWB Chairperson Sarah Ahmed told the media on Wednesday that ensuring the safe recovery and reunification of missing children with their families remains the top priority of the organization, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

According to details, the child identified as Dost Ali was taken into protective custody by the Child Protection Bureau Rawalpindi two months ago after being reported through the Child Helpline 1121. The child was unable to provide complete information about his home and family, which initially made the tracing process challenging.

The Chairperson said the Bureau’s Family Tracing Team, working in close coordination with the Roshan Helpline, continued persistent efforts and eventually succeeded in locating the child’s parents in Kashmore, Sindh.

Sarah Ahmed added that the reunification of missing children with their families is a core responsibility of the Child Protection Bureau and all available resources are being utilized to achieve this objective. She also urged the public to immediately report any information regarding missing children by contacting the Child Helpline 1121.

The parents of the child expressed happiness and gratitude upon reuniting with their son and thanked Chairperson Sarah Ahmed and the entire Bureau team for their dedicated efforts.
