Missing woman, kids recovered from Lahore

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Police of Saddar Jalalpur Police Station, Khan Bela Checkpost, successfully recovered a woman and her four children who had mysteriously gone missing, during an important operation conducted using modern investigative techniques.

According to police sources, the woman namely Nadia Mai had disappeared from Mouza Bait, an area within the jurisdiction of Saddar Jalalpur Police Station, nearly two weeks ago. A case (FIR No. 396/26) under Section 496-A had been registered following her disappearance.

Station House Officer (SHO) Kashif Ashraf, along with Incharge Khan Bela Checkpost ASI Asad Javed and their team, utilized advanced technology, including Call Detail Record (CDR) analysis, to trace the missing woman and her children. Acting on technical evidence, the police successfully located and recovered them safely from Lahore.

During the operation, police also arrested a suspect identified as Shan s/o Hanif, who was allegedly keeping the woman and children in illegal confinement.

After completing necessary legal formalities, the recovered woman and her children were safely handed over to their family members.

City Police Officer (CPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar, appreciated the police team for their professional performance and successful operation, while citizens expressed satisfaction and praised the police for their timely and effective action.

It is pertinent to mention here that the recovered woman was later produced before the court, where she stated that she had not been abducted by anyone and had willingly chosen to live with Shan s/o Hanif. She further requested the court to send her to Dar-ul-Aman, upon which the court ordered her transfer to Dar-ul-Aman for protection and further legal proceedings, police sources added.
