FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) Faisalabad Police conducted a multi-agency mock exercise at Qasr-e-Abbas Imambargah in the Roshanwala police station area to test security preparedness and sharpen the coordinated response to any emergency threatening law and order.

Police spokesman said that police, emergency responders, civil defense personnel and security agencies jointly participated in the exercise, which simulated a terrorist incident at the imambargah.

Station House Officer (SHO) Roshanwala police station Shahid Pervaiz and other police officers supervised the exercise.

The teams from police, Elite Force, Dolphin Force, Counter Terrorism Department, Special Branch, Technical Sweeping Unit, Bomb Disposal Squad, Rescue 1122 and Fire Brigade took part in the operation.

During simulated operation, the law-enforcement personnel secured the site and arrested two mock terrorists while Rescue 1122 shifted two mock injured police personnel to hospital for medical treatment. Civil Defense and Bomb Disposal Squad teams conducted a detailed sweep of the premises using anti-mine and anti-bomb detection equipment before declaring the site cleared.

Police spokesman said that the exercise aimed to ensure that all concerned departments remained fully prepared to respond swiftly, professionally and in a coordinated manner to any untoward situation.

Such exercises strengthened inter-agency coordination, improved operational readiness and helped protect worshippers and the general public during sensitive religious gatherings, he added.
