MoFE&PT reviews progress on ‘No Child Left Behind’ campaign, expands NGO partnership

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (MoFE&PT) convened a meeting to review the progress of the “No Child Left Behind” campaign, aimed at ensuring universal access to education across Islamabad Capital Territory through a coordinated Union Council-wise approach.

The meeting was chaired by the Federal Secretary, Nadeem Mehbub, and was attended by representatives of all participating Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and partner NGOs.

During the session, participants shared updates on field activities, including household surveys, enrollment drives, and community mobilization efforts. Key challenges and operational issues were also discussed, with a focus on improving coordination, accelerating outreach, and strengthening data reporting mechanisms.

In a significant development, two new Letter of Understanding (LoUs) were signed with Muslim Hands and ACT international, further expanding the network of partner organizations supporting the campaign. Their inclusion is expected to enhance field capacity and contribute to achieving enrollment targets more effectively.

Secretary Nadeem Mehbub emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum to meet the ambitious target of identifying and enrolling 25,000 out-of-school children within the stipulated timeline.

He reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to a structured, data-driven, and community-centered “Carpet Coverage Plan,” which includes door-to-door surveys, engagement with local stakeholders, and real-time monitoring through digital tools.

All participating NGOs reaffirmed their commitment to the initiative and pledged to intensify their efforts in the coming weeks. They highlighted the importance of collective responsibility and coordination among stakeholders to ensure no child is left behind.

The Ministry reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring inclusive and equitable education for every child, in line with Article 25-A of the Constitution. The continued collaboration with partner organizations marks a strong step forward in achieving universal education in Islamabad Capital Territory.
