PM reportedly briefed Mohsin Naqvi on Pakistan’s position regarding negotiation process.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has arrived in Tehran on an important official visit, where he is scheduled to hold meetings with senior Iranian leaders.
According to Iranian news agency IRNA, Mohsin Naqvi will convey a special message from Syed Asim Munir to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei during his visit.
Iranian media reported that the interior minister is also expected to meet Abbas Araghchi. Sources said Shehbaz Sharif provided Mohsin Naqvi with special instructions regarding the ongoing negotiations between Iran and the United States.
Before departing for Iran, the interior minister held detailed consultations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other senior officials on the country’s political situation, regional developments and other important matters. Discussions also focused on changing regional dynamics and Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement with key countries.
The prime minister reportedly briefed Mohsin Naqvi on Pakistan’s position regarding the negotiation process and regional peace and stability, while providing guidance for his meetings with the Iranian leadership.
