Moot emphasises energy applications in agriculture

Speakers at a seminar on "Renewable Energy Applications for Modern Sustainable Agriculture" underscored the link between renewable energy and food security, stressing that innovative and cost-effective energy solutions are essential for rural development and sustainable agricultural growth. An international workshop was organised at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR), bringing together national and international experts. The workshop featured presentations by national and international speakers representing various universities and research organisations. The sessions focused on solar-powered irrigation, biogas and biomass utilisation, energy-efficient greenhouse systems and smart energy management in precision agriculture.
